Dreamin’ About U is the sixth track on the second disc of Prince’s 19th album Emancipation, the third album to be credited to .

Basic tracking took place at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota in mid-July 1996 (on the same day as the recordings of Sleep Around, The Love We Make, The Divine and the re-recording of Emale). The track features Rhonda Smith and Kat Dyson, who joined ’s band in June 1996.
