Rain is an unreleased track recorded at Prince’s Kiowa Trail Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota, presumably in the spring or summer of 1981. The track is an a cappella track with a backdrop of rain. It is possible this is the same track as The Rain And You, also said to be recorded at that time.

In 1988, Prince asked his engineer Chuck Zwicky to pull out the track from the vault (along with Eros, Rearrange, Extraloveable and Poppa Grooves) and mix it: "When he was on the Lovesexy Tour, I was assigned to go in the vault and provide mixes for songs that had never been mixed." It is not known if there was other plans for that song at that time.

The song remains unreleased.
