The Hot X-perience is an unreleased 12" vinyl single planned for release by NPG Records in 2000 as the second commercial single from Prince’s 23rd album Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic (his sixth using the name  ), although it may have been intended as promotion for the companion album Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic (which was delayed and released in 2001). The single was to include several remixes of the track Hot Wit U, including Hot Wit U (Nasty Girl Remix), which was later released on Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic. A remix of Hot Wit U, thought to be Hot Wit U (Club/Dance Mix), was later included on NPG Ahdio Show # 11 in 2002. The other remixes included on the intended single have not been released through any other means, however. A house remix of So Far, So Pleased, as well as the previously-unreleased track Underneath The Cream (which was developed from a lyric in Hot Wit U, and was later released on the Supercute single and The Chocolate Invasion digital album) were also included.
The single was promoted on NPGOnlineLtd.com (including mention of the single being on vinyl only), and on 19 July 2000, tracks from the single were played by DJ Wolf during a party at The Front, Minneapolis, MN, USA.
