The Halls Of Desire is the fourth track (third song) on Tevin Campbell’s second album I’m Ready, and, in 1995, The Halls Of Desire EP was available as single in Japan only, shortly before the album’s final single, Don’t Say Goodbye Girl, which also contained remixes of The Halls Of Desire. The song was written and produced by Prince under the pseudonym Paisley Park.
While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in September 1992 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (along with Down, Holly Don’t Care, The P, Paris 1798430, Uncle Sam and a revamped version of Shhh, when Prince became involved in Tevin Campbell’s album I’m Ready).
