10 is the first video by Madhouse. It was released for broadcast two months after the single and around two weeks after the band’s second album. Exact shooting date is unknown, but it was likely shot in late Summer or early Fall 1987 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The video was directed by Steve Purcell.
10 opens as a 1930s-style play titled "The Bank Robbery". The 'Madhouse girl', Maneca Lightner, along with those who would become "The Game Boyz", Tony Mosley, Kirk Johnson and Damon Dickson are the robbers. Bankers are played by Levi Seacer, Jr. and Matt Fink and the Policemen by Dale Alexander and Eric Leeds. The robbers’ plan fails when a policeman (Leeds) manages to capture Maneca, forcing her accomplices to surrender. The video ends with the curtain closing.
The play will continue in Madhouse's next music video, 13, which will be released four months later.
Although their silhouettes were seen in Purple Rain and The Time videos taken from the movie, this is the first Prince-related video to feature Tony Mosley, Kirk Johnson and Damon Dickson.
