The track is overdubbed with back masked monologue and moaning of a woman, [[Jill Jones]] confirmed to be her. The speech contains some lyrics similar to [[Prince]]'s stage antics before performing [[God]] on the [[Purple Rain]] tour, talking about going to heaven, hell, and being horny.

A clip of the scene from the film Purple Rain in which a sample of "Backwards Woman" is heard was played over the PA during an interlude on the Musicology Tour in 2004.
