While specific recording dates are not known, it is likely that basic tracking took place in January 1992 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (during the same set of sessions that produced Born 2 B.R.E.E.D., The Continental, Damn U, The Flow, 3 Chains O’ Gold, Qualified, With This Tear and a revamped version of Sex).
