Love... Thy Will Be Done is the third track on Martika’s second album Martika’s Kitchen, and, shortly before the album’s release, Love... Thy Will Be Done was released as the album’s first single on 25 July 1991.

A few months later, a remix of the track by Prince (as Paisley Park) was released on Martika’s Kitchen, the album’s second single.

In 1997, the single edit was included as the sixth track on the compilation album The Best Of Martika: More Than You Know, with the Prince Mix version as the sixteenth and final track.

In 2005, the single edit was included as the sixth track on the compilation album Toy Soldiers: The Best Of Martika, with the Prince Mix version as the fifteenth and final track. Also in 2005, the album version was included as the tenth and final track on the compilation album Love... Thy Will Be Done.
