- This was the sixth show of the Prince: Piano & A Microphone tour. It was the second of two shows on the same night at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
- It was first announced on 5 February 2016.
- Tickets for this show went on sale on Tuesday 9 February 2016 at 12 noon AEDT and sold out quickly. Although limited extra tickets (advertised as 360º tickets, situated behind the stage) were made available on 12 February.
- Actual tickets and wristbands, both needed to gain access to the venue were available at the venue’s box office at noon on the day of show.
- Every ticket purchased included a copy of the Hitnrun Phase Two album, distributed to ticket holders upon exiting the venue.
- Joy In Repetition, as Joy In Repetition SOH Live, from this show was made available by Tidal on March 9th, 2016 (stream and download).
- The medley of Little Red Corvette/Dirty Mind was included as the Purple Pick of the Week on Tidal on 14 March 2016.
- This show included the final live performances by Prince of Free and 1000 X’s & O’s.
