Trivia

A Hamburg concert was initially scheduled for 14 August 1988 in the 65,000 capacity Volkspark. It was subsequently rescheduled to August 24th 1988, before being rescheduled to two shows in the smaller Wilhelm-Koch Stadion on 30 an 31 August 1988. Tickets with numbers 1-20,000 were valid for 30 August, higher numbers were valid voor 31 August. During Michael Jackson’s show on 1 July 1988 in Volkspark stadium, the structure suffered some minor damage and as a result was deemed unsuited for further rock concerts, so a new location had to be found.
