A music video is considered released if any of the following apply:
- It was seen on music video TV channels such as MTV, VH1, at time of the single release.
- It was released by Prince through a commercial channel, such as Home Video, Laserdisc or DVD.
- It was released by Prince through a digital channel, on his or a third party website.
- It was released on a Prince streaming channel/sold through iTunes posthumously.
